A future trampoline champion in the making?

A young trampoline fan is showing Olympic potential just one year after taking up trampolining as a hobby. 

Nine-year-old Ben Cowan placed second in the national schools trampolining finals, missing out on first place by just two points.

Ben’s parents expressed astonishment at being informed of their son’s Olympic potential by his coach.

“It just started out as something for him to do, a nice hobby, then all of a sudden people were telling me how good he was,” said mum Melanie. 

Ben trains on the trampoline three times a week.
